As we move towards the end of the year it is the perfect time to reflect, to process and to dream of what comes next and how we want next year to look. This year has been one with so many learnings. It has been the best year of my life and one that has taught me so much. Here are my biggest learnings:
Find your tribe.
Find your community and surround yourself with positive people who are aligned with your values. Be with people who bring out the best in you, inspire you and believe in you. So much more can be achieved as a collective and there is far greater joy when amazing moments are shared and celebrated together.
Create space within.
Keep pausing, reflecting and making space to breathe. Investing in the things that nurture and nourish you are essential. This year has been a whirlwind but yoga and meditation has been my solace and have kept me energised, grounded, focused and inspired. We always need to reconnect to the source, come out of heads and into our own essence.
I am so proud about how our community helps each other. Whether through our food back collection, our free classes for foster carers or providing the studio for free for the Spring Board Mindfulness clinics, we each play a little part in helping our community. There is more work to be done in 2019 but we’ve got off to a great start.
Dare to dream.
Take the time to ask yourself, is this it? Is this what fuels me? Is this me living my truth and my potential and if not, start to make tiny steps towards a different outcome. Changes won’t happen when we stand still or make the same choices expecting a different result. Everything starts with an idea, a thought or a dream but they stay that way until you take action.
Choose to be with someone who lights you up and makes you better - or be alone.
If you decide to be in a relationship, find a partner who has the same vision as you and is willing to support you and your dream. I spent over 2 decades in the wrong relationships, without shared values, goals and dreams. All my energy was consumed by arguments, resentments and recriminations, I had nothing left for chasing my own dreams and following my passions. With Ross, we have the same dream. Our focus is on laughter, growth and togetherness and because I am not distracted by drama, I have so much more space for creativity and time and energy to focus on building our business, safe in the knowledge that I am supported and were heading in exactly the same direction.
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement this year. Nothing could have been achieved without the community around us. We cannot wait to see what 2019 will bring and are so grateful to have you on the journey with us.
